The Rewarding Job for Life: Being a Dad

Being a dad is hard. The last two years have been an absolute whirlwind, from finding out we were pregnant to the midwife and hospital appointments, scans, baby books, hearing her heartbeat for the first time, driving in a panicked rush to the hospital, and of course, finally meeting our daughter in person after all the preparedness went out the car window. Plus all the giggles, trials, challenges, and joy that come with a baby’s 1st year. Add to that another baby on the way in the next few months with a 17-month gap between the two of them. It’s safe to say my life has changed. But change for the better, being a dad is the best job in the world, it does come with challenges but the reward is worth more than the world can pin me down. And that is why I’ve started this blog, to help myself (selfish I know) and to also help other dads out there, whether you and your partner are expecting, you are your child’s biological father or stepdad, or your children have or are on their way to leaving the nest. Being a dad is a job for life and we could all do it with a bit of help every now and again, so if you have any questions or advice (please) just share.
